Advanced Vascular Solutions (AVS) was founded in 2020 by a Vascular Surgeon and his wife after facing salary cuts and strict employment policies from their corporate employer. They sought administrative assistance to start their own venture.
Advanced Vascular Solutions is a surgical practice headquartered in Sebastian, FL with three office locations. Their offices offer services such as imaging, wound care, venous and arterial procedures, as well as general practice and diabetic testing. These services can be labor intensive on the administrative end in terms of high appointment volume, need for prior authorizations, staffing demands, and more. Hidden within these challenges are bottlenecks that can inhibit the full return the practice has the potential to reach.
Implementing our software solution with AVS has allowed them to make decisions that lead to better “flow”. This has been all the more important to ensure quality and optimization as they have gone through an expansion of their services and locations. As an example, using easy and intuitive visualization, we were able to identify a key issue within their overall operation. Our platform revealed how the ultrasound schedules were at full capacity and that this was leading to a trickle effect into the schedule for their venous and arterial procedures.
Through one lens, it may seem like a positive for your bottom line when a schedule is at capacity; however, in this case it created a bottleneck for AVS that lead to less procedures that require a prior ultrasound being scheduled. These scenarios can exist at any point within a practices operation, and it is critical to have a sound system to monitor and address what aggregate data is trying to tell you. Unfortunately, most EMR solutions do not provide any form of systemic analysis and only give visualizations for sections of your operation, normally focused on billing. Our goal is to inform practices of the importance of sound data and flow analysis, and in the case of AVS we have seen how this approach has allowed them to thrive financially and operationally. AVS continues to hit record highs in revenue as they make calculated decisions which lead to great returns on their investments.

AVS has achieved remarkable growth and profitability. They expanded with two new locations and a Cath-Lab, onboarded three providers for clinic operations, and experienced an 80% revenue increase in 2022. Projections show a 150% growth for 2023.
